Zataka is an experimental search engine that makes it possible for users to interactively influence search results. It grew out of a project that was written during the middle of 2005, the idea being that no matter how good the algorithm of a search engine, the combined effects of spam and the problems of natural language parsing will make it so that a human being will always significantly outclass a computer when it comes to rating the significance of a search result.
